Hello.
I'm Abhilasha, a counselling psychologist.
I was in class 5 and slam books were all the rage back then. One of them asked "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I wrote, with the most sincere effort in visualising my future "I want to love and be loved".
Sure, a career as a software engineer wouldn't exactly have matched this, but I liked sitting in air-conditioned computer labs in the summer heat. I stumbled my way through the MBA program at IIM Indore, and in jobs with American Express, KPMG and Parle Products in technology, consulting and marketing. Despite the varied roles, I did not feel connected to my work or saw myself doing it for the rest of my life. I shifted gears (more like vehicles, actually), did a stint in teaching, worked for non-profits and worked at startups in people development.
I considered 'callings' cliched, until I found my own purpose. I pursued a full-time Masters in Psychosocial Clinical Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi.
Through training and my own lived experiences, I have come to live by the philosophy that we have the right and the responsibility to look out for ourselves. This influences my practice as a therapist in being committed to the welfare of the client, empowering them through reflection and observation, and being in their corner. Always.
Many of us experience life challenges that can trap us in recurring behaviors. Healing isn’t quite straightforward and it requires courage to face discomfort, seek support, and work to break patterns that no longer serve us, moving us toward the life we envision.
Therapy offers a secure, reflective space where you’re truly seen, protected, and supported with focused, meaningful attention. This is a place where you can begin to express yourself, explore new possibilities, resolve past struggles, and even consider choices that may have felt too daunting before.
If this resonates with you, please feel free to request an initial consultation.

"I used to dismiss talking about my problems. I had seen people take therapy but had reservations regarding it. I met Abhilasha at a time when I was struggling with a lot of things in my life. I was amazed to discover that I could speak so much about my life as she made me feel very comfortable. There was no concept of right or wrong with her. It was an organic flow of thoughts and emotions and I could open up to her as she was extremely compassionate and made me feel secure. I don't remember feeling as heard and understood in the longest time. Abhilasha has helped me in my journey towards self-love and healing."

"I started therapy with Abhilasha back in December ['23] and I had a great experience with her in spite of being sceptical about online therapy. She is a wonderful listener and helps me figure out ways of understanding myself and others very gently and effectively. She asks all the right questions and helps me think about things in a different, more positive manner. I am very happy with the fact that I started therapy with her."

"Have had a few sessions with Abhilasha. The good thing about the conversations is the way she makes you comfortable to talk about things that are bothering you or troubling you. She has helped me in reducing my anxiety levels to a good extent and I am more comfortable in my space now than I was before. All thanks to the support Abhilasha has shown during our conversations."
